Job summary

Brandt is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling to perform on-site preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment at customer sites in the Brossard area. You will identify issues, report findings, and implement solutions to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The role requires a mechanical aptitude, a Class D license, and willingness to work after-hours or shift work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Class D license required.
• Experience operating, servicing, and maintaining material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance services on scheduled basis for mechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Identify issues, analyze root causes, and devise repair or adjustment solutions.
• Report on follow-up service items and ensure PM checklist accuracy for customer reporting.
• Work directly with customers and equipment operators.
• Utilize hoists, forklifts, power tools, cranes, loaders, and other tools as needed.
• Operate machinery to evaluate performance and verify repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Brandt is currently seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling for the Material Handling division at our Brossardlocation.

The Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling is responsible for completing on-site preventative maintenance services and repairs on the functional parts of all mechanical equipment at customer sites, utilizing state of the art technologies.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Performing all levels of Preventative Maintenance services on a scheduled basis in a professional manner.
• Identify issues with malfunctioning equipment, analyze the root causes, and devise appropriate solutions for repairs, replacements, or adjustments.
• Identify and report on additional items identified that require follow-up service work by a service technician.
• Ensuring the accurate capture and reporting of PM service checklist, inspections, and work order information for the benefit of customer reporting.
• Work directly with the customers and equipment operators.
• Utilize hoists, forklifts, power tools, cranes, loaders, vehicles, and manual tools for operational tasks.
• Operate machinery to evaluate its performance and verify the effectiveness of repairs or adjustments made.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to work after-hours and/or participate in shiftwork as required to support customer needs.
• Class D license required.
• Must have experience operating, servicing, and/or maintaining material handling equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
