A leading Canadian energy organization is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Planning Coordinator to enhance the maintenance program. If you answered yes, our Whiteshell Laboratories (WL) site located near Pinawa, Manitoba is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Planning Coordinator (PC). The PC provides experienced maintenance planning, scheduling and forecasting support to the Work Control Manager, who is responsible for providing manufacturing, construction and maintenance services across the Whiteshell site. The PC also provides support to the Whiteshell Operations & Maintenance Management and other Branch and Division members. Does this pique your interest? What will you be doing?
• Endorsing the development and improvement of the Whiteshell preventative maintenance program and initiatives.
• Interfacing with customers and maintenance work groups to determine preventative maintenance requirements in order to meet regulator requirements.
• Facilitating preventative maintenance tasks through coordination of work activities with other work groups.
• Providing planning support for work activities using the planning process incorporating a thorough understanding of Whiteshell computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Delivering the Whiteshell mission safely, efficiently and effectively.
• Producing, reviewing, and participating in updates to maintenance documentation.
• Providing support for the Whiteshell Operations & Maintenance Management “Work Flow Optimization” to enhance the Whiteshell Laboratories Restoration Project mandate.
• Making recommendations supporting the principle of continuous improvement.
• Reviewing and tracking all regulatory and operational site excellence preventative and corrective work order completion metrics.
• Providing forecast of trade resource requirements for preventative maintenance work, as required.
• Assisting maintenance work groups with a clear understanding of planned work and satisfy customer requests for work related information.
• Generating the preventative maintenance (PM) Work Orders (WO) for distribution to associated work groups.
• Preparing customized reports for various customers upon request.
• Updating Whiteshell Work Control SharePoint site in order for user groups to obtain current information in regards to maintenance in their perspective work areas.
• Creating new preventative maintenance work orders in the CMMS based on completed Requests for New/Revised Scheduled Maintenance forms received from customers.
• Entering and verifying completed and ongoing WOs for all trades into CMMS.
• Researching history/status of WOs using information/description obtained from the trades staff.
• Filing electronic and paper records.
• Responding to queries from equipment/building owners.
• Conferring with facility owners to determine progress of work where extended time periods or job deferrals may be required.
• Providing notification to customers on any delays and post these updates on the Work Control SharePoint site.
• Providing planning support by coordinating materials and resources with maintenance work orders.
• Liaising with Procurement and vendors to ensure acquisitions are timely and cost effective.
• Updating the Whiteshell Site Asset Registry with revisions.
• Completing other duties as assigned by your manager.

Working Conditions
• Must possess normal physical agility necessary to perform all aspects of the work that involves bending, lifting and mobility.
• Must be capable of wearing and working in protective clothing and using equipment as required.
• Visual concentration for viewing documents.
• Sitting at computer for continuous periods of time.
• Frequent intermediate duration standing (copier, filing, scanning).
• Occasional short duration lifting required for job materials and supplies (up to ~20kg).
• We have a compressed work week, which consists of a four-day work week and ten hours a day - starting at 6 am.
