Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, President, Motor Coach Industries.

Purpose of the Position

As President MCI, you are a key member of the NFI Group Executive Leadership Team, and you will lead the strategic and operational direction of MCI’s CAD ~500 million North American coach and service business. You will protect and grow MCI’s market position while concurrently driving transformational improvements in customer experience, productivity, quality and financial outcomes.

You will oversee critical business functions including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, delivery, working capital, and profitability. You will be a high-profile ambassador for the company, representing MCI’s interests with customers, government entities, and industry partners. With your already strong track record in talent and organizational development and cultural leadership, you will foster a high-performance environment built on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership across North American operations - including manufacturing, customer service, sales, and field support - ensuring operational excellence, innovation, and sustained competitive advantage.
  • Partner with the CEO, Board and your peers to shape and execute transformative strategies and business plans that drive long-term growth, profitability, and market leadership.
  • Champion a purpose-driven, high-performance culture that reflects the company’s mission, vision, and values, while building organizational capability, leadership bench strength and superior customer value and financial performance.

Experience and Professional Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years’ proven success in a senior executive leadership role, with significant experience in manufacturing, customer relations, and procurement.
  • Proven ability to lead organizations through change, transformation, and growth in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and strategic execution.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a strong track record of building trust and fostering accountability
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors and external stakeholders, including government and industry groups.
  • Deep expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and organizational development.
  • Visionary thinker with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to execution.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, largely in North America.
