Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Toronto is seeking a team member for the Prepared Foods department. You will prepare and serve hot and cold foods, stock displays, and assist with inventory while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers and fellow Team Members.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, following health and safety rules, and contributing to a positive store image. Flexibility for shifts, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Proactively sell products and services to customers within the Prepared Foods department.
• Learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.
• Maintain high attention to detail in price signs, displays, and stocking.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with customers, Team Members, and vendors.
• Meet customer service expectations in all interactions and demonstrate positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cut, prepare, and serve hot and cold foods (meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads, pizzas).
• Sample products to customers and suggest additional items.
• Stock cases and displays with prepared foods.
• Rotate stock and check expiration dates for freshness.
• Assist with inventory and seasonally adjust displays.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned and maintain clean, safe work areas.
