Rockport Group is seeking a certified Health Care Aide to provide premium one-on-one care for an elderly client in the Winnipeg area. The role focuses on high-acuity clinical attention, dignity, and mobility support in a non-live-in arrangement with a discounted housing option within the same building.

You will work full-time with split shifts, ensuring comprehensive daily care, meals, and companionship while maintaining detailed health logs for the family and medical team.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate or equivalent provincial training.
• Experience with high-acuity senior care and overnight mobility tracking preferred.
• Excellent physical stamina for lifting, turning and transfers.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
• English communication skills to coordinate with family and medical team.

Aufgaben

• Provide superior health aid support with detailed health logs for the family and medical team.
• Manage an overnight turning schedule every 2 hours during shifts.
• Safely transfer the client between bed, wheelchair, and seating.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene.

We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and compassionate care professional to provide exceptional, one-on-one support for an elderly gentleman that has transitioned home from the Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg.

This is an exclusive, premium private-duty position caring. We require an elite caregiver who provides a stellar level of clinical attentiveness, dignity, and specialized mobility support. This is a non-live-in role, but it offers a unique, subsidized housing perk located directly within the same property for the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Superior Health Aid Support: Maintaining an elite standard of clinical observation, executing care plans with maximum precision, and keeping detailed health logs for the family and medical team.
• Mobility & Skin Care: Managing a strict, gentle overnight turning schedule every 2 hours (during scheduled shifts) to maintain the client's absolute comfort and flawless skin integrity.
• Safe Transfers: Utilizing immaculate body mechanics and proper techniques to move the client safely between the bed, wheelchair, and seating.
• Personal Care: Providing dignified, meticulous assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Daily Comforts: Preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to dietary needs and managing light, care-related housekeeping.
• Companionship: Providing warm, engaging companionship and vigilantly monitoring overall mental and physical well-being.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate (or equivalent recognized provincial care training).
• Proven Excellence: A track record of providing superior health aid support; prior experience with high-acuity senior care and overnight mobility tracking is highly preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Excellent physical strength and stamina required for frequent lifting, turning, and safe transferring.
• Clearances: Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Communication: English communication skills to sync seamlessly with the family and medical team.

Schedule & Location

• Type: Full-time, Split shifts. Must be available 7 days a week, work split shifts that are 1-2 hours each starting at 8:30am and ending at 9:00-10:00 pm.
• Hire Date: ASAP
• Location: Located within the Bona Vista/Island Lakes area of Winnipeg.
• Housing Perk: Optional private apartment within the building available at a discounted rate.

** Must live close to the location at the perimeter and highway 59 OR willing to relocate into the apartment building at a discounted rate.
