Job summary

IEM Canada, a leading manufacturer of electrical distribution equipment, is seeking a Quality Inspector in Surrey, BC. The role focuses on inspecting frames, bus assemblies, and electrical components, logging defects, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in quality inspection or production environment preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and use basic hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect frame, bus assembly, breaker/cradle/CDP, door, wire termination, routing and harnesses per QC work instructions.
• Enter defects detected during inspection into the rework log and provide feedback on quality issues to production.
• Install lexan and insulation covers, attach labels and mimic bus; install parts for closing unit.
• Take pictures of the tested unit; generate and review QC documents including BQRs and logs.
• Perform current injection tests for breakers (MCCB) and functional tests for CTs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and meet production schedules while inspecting per quality standards.
• Perform other tasks as requested by Lead or Supervisor.
