Job summary

GL Inc. is seeking a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector in Quebec City for a first shift, part-time role. The job involves 20–30 hours weekly, 1–2 days per week as needed, focusing on precise inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of hands-on inspection experience, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to read drawings. ITAR compliance and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on inspection of precision mechanical parts.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and calibrating with hand tools to tolerance.
• Experience with conformance certificates and inspection docs.
• Willing to adapt to new technology and software.
• Great visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• ITAR compliant and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies per specs/drawings.
• Conduct surface plate inspection of first article and samples if required.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs, and related tools as needed.
• Identify defects, classify defects, and verify rework during inspection.
• Verify documentation packages to industry standards.
