Job summary

Kinectrics Inc. is seeking five skilled machinists for our Nuclear Equipment Solutions team in Toronto. The role focuses on grinding, milling, turning, and fabricating precision equipment for laboratory testing and nuclear customers.

Ideal candidates have Grade 12 plus a 3-year machinist program, hands-on shop experience, and proficiency with CAD/CAM tools. This on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and safety-oriented work culture.

Qualifications

  • Requires grade 12 plus a 3-year machining program from college or polytechnic.
  • Practical hands-on machinist experience and knowledge of turning, milling, grinding and jigs.
  • Experience with blueprint reading and mechanical design principles for prototype apparatus.
  • Knowledge of CAD drawings and CAM control software for CNC and EDM machines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and design, develop, fabricate, assemble and install specialized research and testing equipment as approved.
  • Machine or prepare samples/equipment to tight tolerances for lab testing and delivery to nuclear customers.
  • Provide technical support for test programs and investigations related to NDT and in-plant inspections.
  • Maintain safety and comply with policies, procedures, standards and practices.
