This is a key role to ensure that CapWest meets its high standards of on-time delivery, efficiency, accuracy, and quality in its prefab wall package offerings.

About The Company

CapWest provides advanced prefab wall panel solutions for multi-family construction projects. We design, build and deliver wall packages — partnering through quoting, detailed design, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and installation.

Perks & Benefits
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package that provides extended health care, dental care, vision care, life insurance and critical illness insurance
  • Continuous learning opportunities with an annual educational allowance
  • Generous referral program ranging from $500-$2000, depending on the business need
  • Regular team-building activities and events
  • Discount to local amenities and vendors
  • Discounted hotel stays in multiple locations through our hospitality offerings
What Will You Do
  • Lead the manufacturing operations of prefabricated wall panels from design hand‑off through manufacturing, assembly, finishing, packaging and dispatch.
  • Develop, implement and manage production schedules aligned with project timelines.
  • Ensure coordination between design/engineering, manufacturing, shop floor teams, logistics, and site installation teams (framers, etc) to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure panels are built to specification, with minimal rework or defects—supporting the company’s promise of “avoid delays and inconsistent workmanship.”
  • Monitor and report on key manufacturing metrics: production output, cycle times, yield, scrap, labour efficiency, on‑time delivery to site.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operations: workflow optimization, lean manufacturing principles, automation or technology adoption, waste reduction, cost control.
  • Manage the shop floor team: hiring, training, performance management, safety‑compliance, development of operational staff.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, facility utilization, stock/materials management, buffer capacity and contingency planning.
  • Work with logistics/dispatch team to ensure finished panels are loaded and delivered to job sites when required.
  • Liaise with project team: ensure manufacturing aligns with project handovers, discuss production challenges, and maintain open communication with internal and external parties.
  • Oversee shop manufacturing operations and coordinate onsite activities.
  • Support health & safety, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, ensure safe working environment in the shop.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and operations cost control for the prefab wall panel manufacturing operation.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (5–10 yrs+) in a manufacturing operations manager role, preferably in construction materials, prefab systems, wood‑frame panels or related assembly operations.
  • Experience overseeing high‑volume fabrication/assembly operations with strict schedule commitments.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean/continuous improvement, quality assurance, scheduling, logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and team‑management skills: ability to build, develop and lead a production team, manage multiple shifts if required.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills — able to work cross‑functionally (design, engineering, logistics, site installation).
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environment with tight deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in production software, ERP/MRP systems, scheduling tools, data/reporting.
  • Familiarity with prefab wall panel construction for multi‑family projects is a strong asset.
Salary Range
