Job description

Brandt Tractor is looking for Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technicians for our Regina location. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, detailed-oriented, and take pride in their work. This position performs an important step in Brandt’s ability to deliver a high-quality product and experience to our customers.

In this position, our Pre-Delivery Inspection Technicians are responsible for performing equipment inspections, making machine adjustments and repairs, and installing custom attachments on a broad range of construction, utility, and forestry equipment. These processes ensure that the equipment meets all Brandt and OEM quality standards expected by our customers.

Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computer skills are required to successfully perform the job. Brandt offers on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement. This position is based out in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performing full pre-delivery inspections on machines prior to delivery to the customer
  • Performing routine mechanical duties as well as assembly, maintenance, and minor repair of equipment.
  • Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of heavy-duty mobile equipment, including:
    • Diesel engine and engine support systems
    • Transmissions
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Differentials and final drives
    • Steering, suspension, and brake systems
    • Electrical/electronic systems
    • Structural components
    • Heating and cooling systems
    • Machine operation and control systems
    • Fluid and fuel systems
  • Use testing instruments, hand, air, and electric tools correctly in assembly, maintenance, repair, and inspection
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely, such as rigging, welding equipment, and cleaning/pressure washers
  • Safely operate and road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, including the safe disposal, storage, or recycling of hazardous materials.
  • Use computer applications and information systems in maintenance, inspection, and parts ordering
  • Document assembly process and report time on work orders accurately and completely
  • Perform any additional work requested/required to meet the needs of PDI, Sales, Service, and their customers
  • Complete assigned Brandt and OEM training modules to continually increase knowledge and skill set
