Qualifications

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Demonstrated customer service experience of at least one year.
  • Comply with CATSA medical requirements.

What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?

You will use your strong customer service skills to uphold the safety of passengers and create a positive travel experience by :

  • efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints
  • providing information professionally and with integrity
  • confirming valid boarding passes
  • scanning / testing baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors and other technology
  • protecting restricted areas
  • upholding all regulations with vigilance
What you bring to PASS :
  • You are 18 or older
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • You are able to obtain a Transport Security Clearance and have a no unpardoned criminal record
  • You have fluency in English (verbal and written). Fluency in French is considered a strong asset- preference is given to Bilingual Candidates.
  • You are able to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
  • You have demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one year
  • You are available to work any shift as required by the airport operation. This will include early morning, day, late evening, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Physical Requirements of the role include but are not limited to : Visual (including colour) and hearing acuity, ability to lift / push / pull items up to 10kg, bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling and standing / walking / sitting for periods up to 2 hours.
