We invite applications from scholars in all fields of philosophy.

In each year of the appointment the McKenna School Post‑Doctoral Fellow will be expected to teach one third‑year course in philosophy (which in at least the first year of the appointment will be in some area of history of social and political thought) and one fourth‑year capstone seminar for the PPE students. The capstone seminar should be in an area of interest to the applicant that would appeal to students in philosophy, politics, and economics. The McKenna Fellow is also expected to mentor undergraduate students by exposing them to new ideas and perspectives, sharing their research through public talks, and creating opportunities for networking.

The appointment will commence July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. Submissions should include a letter of application with curriculum vitae, writing sample, and a teaching dossier (including, but not limited to, a brief statement of teaching philosophy, a summary of teaching experience, and a brief description or syllabus of the proposed capstone seminar). Shortlisted candidates will be contacted subsequently to submit three letters of reference.
