Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in Windsor, Ontario, seeks a propulsion design engineer to design, validate, and release propulsion system components. You will lead testing, diagnose and fix design issues, and coordinate DFMEA/PFMEA reviews with suppliers.

The role requires frequent travel to the USA; candidates must hold Canadian citizenship or be able to work in the USA. Proficiency with NX CAD is advantageous.

• Experience with structural and mounting components related to propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and release propulsion system components.
• Lead component testing and validation activities (DVP&R).
• Analyze and resolve design, quality, and durability issues.
• Manage engineering changes and change notices.
• Review supplier-driven component modifications and approvals.
• Coordinate functional testing prior to production implementation.
• Support assembly plants with engineering specifications and design changes.
• Collaborate with suppliers on component development and launch activities.
• Create and maintain DFMEA documentation.
• Coordinate DFMEA and PFMEA reviews with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction and component optimization initiatives.
• Benchmark components for performance, weight, and cost efficiency.
• Support pilot builds, pre-series events, and production launches.
• Verify manufacturing processes before mass production release.
• Design and modify components using NX (2D & 3D CAD).
