Valard Construction in Unity, SK is expanding a Saskatchewan Distribution team to add Powerline Technician (PLT) Apprentices for a multi-year service agreement through 2032. You will work under a Journeyman Powerline Technician, gaining hours toward certification while assisting with overhead/underground construction and maintenance.

Our Saskatchewan Distribution group is expanding to support a multi-year service agreement, with the potential to run through 2032, and we are currently looking to add Powerline Technician (PLT) Apprentices to our team, based in Unity, SK.
Reporting to the Crew Foreman, PLT Apprentices assist with the operation, maintenance, construction and salvage of overhead and underground electric distribution systems, drive and operate line trucks and associated equipment, and perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
We are open to new Apprentices looking to start their journey, as well as Level One through Four who are registered with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) and looking to continue working towards their Interprovencial Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate.
Please Note: This position works a Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule (Monday – Thursday, 12 hours / day when daylight allows). Candidates must reside locally in Saskatchewan or be willing to relocate on their own. We also have a PPE and FR Clothing program for our employees to ensure you have what you need to work safely at all times.
