Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Journeyman Powerline Technician (PLT) to assist in construction and maintenance of distribution powerlines across Canada and the United States.

The role requires a valid Journeyperson certificate and prior experience as a Journeyman Lineman, with strong knowledge of distribution practices and safety-first mindset. Qualifications

• Journeyman PLT with valid certification and field experience in distribution or transmission.
• Strong knowledge of distribution powerline construction and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high- and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot overhead and underground distribution lines.
• Construct distribution powerlines across all phases and frame structures.
• Perform conductor stringing and cable pulling in various environments.
• Support setup and operation of pulling and tensioning equipment.
• Operate equipment used in construction and maintenance of distribution lines.
• Maintain electrical distribution systems inside and out.
