The organization has successfully executed hundreds of power generation projects worldwide, spanning unit capacities from small-scale installations to large utility-scale plants. Its project portfolio includes a diverse mix of generation technologies such as conventional thermal power, combined-cycle plants, renewable energy, waste-to-energy facilities, hydropower, and participation in nuclear power plant commissioning activities.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Overseas Power Project Commissioning & Operations Manager to lead and manage international power plant commissioning and operational activities. This role carries full accountability for project execution from commissioning through successful commercial operation, ensuring delivery in line with schedule, quality, cost, and safety standards.

The position requires strong technical leadership, hands‑on commissioning expertise, and the ability to manage multinational teams and stakeholders in complex overseas environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, organization, and execution of overseas power plant commissioning and operational projects.
  • Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical and operational challenges arising during commissioning and early operations.
  • Manage and coordinate with project owners, consultants, contractors, and internal technical teams to ensure smooth technical alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Implement robust risk management and safety control measures to prevent major incidents and ensure safe project execution.
  • Oversee project progress, reporting, and performance until successful commercial operation is achieved.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors degree or above (from an accredited institution).

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in power plant commissioning, operations, or project management.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers, and auxiliary systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in unit‑level or group commissioning of power plants.

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English, with strong verbal, reading, and writing capabilities.

Personal & Professional Attributes

  • Good physical health and the ability to work in demanding site environments.
  • Willingness and capability to undertake long‑term overseas assignments.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, organizational, and stress‑management skills.
