Job summary

Canada Life in Winnipeg is seeking a Business Solutions Developer to design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps. The role focuses on delivering automation solutions to streamline business processes and requires a quick learner with a constructive mindset.

You will work with stakeholders to gather requirements, implement scalable solutions, ensure governance and security, and stay current with platform updates.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
• Experience with Dataverse, connectors, and data integration; SQL/ETL/API familiarity.
• Ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate.
• Build and support custom business applications using Power Apps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into scalable, secure solutions.
• Provide ongoing production support, identifying fixes or workarounds for defects.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices; assist governance efforts.
• Stay current with Power Platform updates and contribute to continuous improvement.
