Job summary

A leading provider of essential services in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a 2nd Class Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of their power plant. The role includes covering for existing engineers and assisting the Maintenance Team with ongoing activities. Ideal candidates will have a valid Ontario 2nd Class operating engineer's certificate and must be mechanical problem solvers comfortable with rotating shifts.,

Qualifications

• Current valid Ontario 2nd Class operating engineer's certificate required.
• Experience in rendering or food manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Comfortable working 12 hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance colleagues with facility maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and labor standards.
• Maintain and develop compliance with HACCP plan and procedures.
