Job summary

Canadian Natural invites Power Engineering students to join our campus recruitment program supporting conventional, thermal, and oil sands operations across Alberta. You will gain steam time, work with seasoned operators, and receive mentorship to advance your career.

Placements range from 4 to 6 months with 12-hour shifts at various sites; travel support and relocation options are available, including Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary/Edmonton and bus service from Fort McMurray.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Power Engineering program.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office programs.
• Physically fit and able to work in extremes of temperature.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Company-sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary or Edmonton, AB.
• Bus In/Bus Out from Fort McMurray to Albian & Horizon.
• Relocation to Calgary, Edmonton or Fort McMurray may be applicable under policy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the unit to ensure production rates are achieved and maintained.
• Assist in daily rounds and routines for steam generators.
• Learn layout, purpose and operating parameters of designated area.
• Assist Operators with equipment preparation and maintenance.
• Participate in safety programs and maintain a safe work environment.
