Job summary

Pacific Seafood's Ucluelet operation is seeking a full-time Class 4 Power Engineer/Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to oversee industrial refrigeration and ammonia systems. You’ll work a rotating 12-hour schedule, 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am, 4-on/3-off/3-on/4-off, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid, registered Class 4 Power Engineer certificate or Refrigeration Operator certificate.
• Relevant technical work experience in industrial refrigeration.
• Comfort working with ammonia systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine rounds to monitor pressures, temperatures, and system performance.
• Record readings and maintenance activities in the plant logbook.
• Perform hands-on preventive maintenance and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and system faults and resolve them independently.
• Follow ammonia safety, lockout/tagout, and emergency response procedures.
