Job summary

Tayco is seeking a BI Specialist / Data Analyst to transform manufacturing and business data into actionable reporting. You will design and maintain Power BI reports, data models, and dashboards, while tuning SQL and maintaining Crystal Reports across ERP and in-house systems.

Join a small team at Tayco's Etobicoke facility to deliver insightful analytics for management and operations, with collaboration across front-end and back-end developers and a project coordinator.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in BI, CS, IS, statistics or related field, or 3–5 years BI experience.
• Proficiency with Power BI including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and publishing.
• Strong SQL skills with joins, aggregation, window functions, views and performance tuning.
• Experience developing Crystal Reports is required.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server administration related to reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and data models.
• Write, review, and tune SQL for reporting against ERP and in-house databases.
• Develop and maintain Crystal Reports for operational and printed reporting.
• Administer reporting infrastructure on Windows Server and manage access and jobs.
• Contribute front-end work to in-house apps and embed reports in application pages.
• Verify figures against source systems and resolve discrepancies.
• Document data sources, measures, and reporting processes; keep docs current.
• Provide training and support to report consumers and use AI-assisted tools judiciously.
• Coordinate with developers and project coordinator in a small cross-functional team.
