Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Architecture Specialist
About the Role

Our client is seeking an expert in Power BI architecture and governance within Microsoft Fabric. This role will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and governing analytics solutions that fully leverage Fabric’s unified data environment. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with Fabric’s architectural model, its new governance capabilities, and the operational changes it introduces to enterprise reporting ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable Power BI and Fabric-aligned data architectures
  • Develop governance frameworks, policies, and best practices tailored to Fabric environments
  • Establish data security, access controls, and workspace strategies within Fabric
  • Optimize performance, monitoring, and lifecycle management of datasets, semantic models, and pipelines
  • Collaborate with BI, data engineering, and cloud teams to ensure cohesive adoption of Fabric services
  • Provide guidance on migration strategies from legacy architectures to Fabric infrastructure
  • Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and upskill internal teams on Fabric capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise data standards while enabling innovation in analytics
Required Skills & Experience

Proven expertise in Power BI enterprise architecture and governance.

Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric services including:

  • OneLake, Direct Lake, Lakehouse, and Warehouse
  • Data pipelines and semantic model management
  • Strong understanding of security, lineage, and workspace governance in Fabric
  • Experience creating center‑of‑excellence (CoE) models for BI and self‑service analytics
  • Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
Nice to Have
  • Microsoft certifications in Power BI and/or Fabric
  • Experience in cloud data platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Background supporting enterprise analytics modernization initiatives
