Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior leader to guide our potash processing and materials handling practice across Canada. You will shape technical strategy, engage with clients, and oversee complex projects from planning through execution.

The role emphasizes executive leadership, mentorship, and alignment with HDR’s employee-owned culture, with a compensation range that reflects market conditions for Toronto and Vancouver regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum program/ project management experience with large capital value requirements (see internal criteria).
  • Strong leadership and governance experience in consulting or owner advisory roles.
  • Willingness to be an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture and values.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical and strategic direction for potash practice in line with growth objectives.
  • Act as primary external contact for potash with clients and stakeholders.
  • Review and approve critical deliverables at milestones and provide independent oversight.
  • Lead mentorship and development of potash specialists across regions.
