Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a Security Professional - Casual in Edmonton, AB. You will perform patrols, monitor entry points, and enforce access control to keep personnel and assets secure. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Responsibilities include reporting incidents, maintaining logs, and coordinating with the team via radio, ensuring compliance with safety policies

Responsibilities

• Site surveillance and patrols to secure premises and monitor entry points.
• Maintain high visibility at designated posts and protect sensitive areas.
• Enforce access control by verifying IDs and logging visitors.
• Communicate via radio with team and report incidents promptly.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, assist as needed, and contact emergency services.
• Maintain incident logs, shift handovers, and comprehensive handover notes.
• Protect site and assets from theft or damage and ensure door/gate security.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE usage at all times.
• Perform other general security duties as assigned.

Job Title: Security Professional - CASUAL

Location: Edmonton, AB

Type: Casual

Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Shifts: Sunday to Saturday - Various Shifts - Open Availibility

Overview :

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Professional - Casual to join our team. This position involves providing security and monitoring services, with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Site Surveillance & Patrol: Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor all entry points for unauthorized access.
• Visibility & Coverage: Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site.
• Access Control: Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use.
• Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary.
• Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift.
• Site & Asset Protection: Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times.
• Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• General Security Duties: Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience working in Security
• Must have a valid AB security License
• Must be at least 18 years old or above for insurance purposes
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
