Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in human/environmental physiology, kinesiology, health sciences, or related discipline.
  • Experience in human physiology research.
  • Strong writing, communication and organizational skills.
  • Interest in developing an independent research program and securing fellowship funding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead innovative research on how environmental and individual factors affect heat tolerance, health and performance.
  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate trainees within the HEPRU network.
  • Present findings at major scientific meetings and lead scientific publications.
  • Develop competitive fellowship and grant applications to build an independent program.
  • Collaborate with national and international partners across academia, clinical and public health sectors.
