Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant for Upper Musquodoboit, NS, to provide counter services with a customer-focused approach. You will sell postal products, handle mail, and assist customers directly in a retail environment.

Preference is given to residents of the community. On-call shifts may be temporary; ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or experience in business administration.
• Training/experience interacting with the public in a retail/service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
• Understanding of general post office accounting systems.

• Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
