Job summary

Canada Post is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant to provide counter services with a customer-focused approach in Rivière-Pentecôte, QC. Two vacancies exist, with on-call hours and temporary status, supporting local customers with postal products and services.

The ideal candidate resides in the community, with high school education or equivalent and experience in public interaction within retail/service settings. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and handle cash transactions is required.

Qualifications

• High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
• Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods of time.
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work.
