Job summary

Canada Post in Big River, Saskatchewan is seeking an on-call Post Office Assistant who delivers friendly, customer-focused counter service and supports mail operations. The ideal candidate should reside in the community, with flexibility for temporary on-call work and the ability to lift mail containers up to 50 lb.

Applicants from outside the community may be considered as needed. You will sell postal products, assist customers with forms, and help resolve delivery issues while upholding Canada

Qualifications

• High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
• Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, stand for extended periods
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
