Job summary

About The Role

This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 3 days on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.

As ATB’s next Portfolio Support Specialist, you will be critical in supporting our Director-Led Business Banking sales teams and responsible for providing execution support while acting as a liaison between Portfolio Loan Support and Sales functions. Those working in this role are responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient execution and risk management to facilitate the needs of our clients. This role will have ownership of critical client information including data collection for population into credit risk tools, disseminating documentation, managing maintenance and review of collateral documents and providing reporting oversight and managing the execution of funding requests.

Accountabilities
  • Draw Requests - Review and complete pre-funding checklist, ensure pre-disbursement conditions are fully satisfied and funding is executed correctly.
  • Utilize financial information to support analysis and administration of key support processes which include: financial analysis and data input, margining calculations, trending and risk analysis, financial covenant calculations and tracking remedies to completion.
  • Reporting oversight and data analysis for compliance, margining, overdrafts and special debt reporting.
  • Develop, update and revise spreadsheets in support of tracking, calculations and portfolio support of our Capital Markets and Business Banking clients.
  • Collateral Management - Reviewing and ongoing maintenance of collateral documents by conducting periodic reviews to confirm collateral risk is sufficiently mitigated.
  • Other tasks related to the underwriting and credit quality oversight of our Capital Markets and Business Banking clients.
Skills, Experience & Requirements
  • 3-5 years of Financial Institution experience including 2-3 years commercial or business lending experience
  • Undergraduate degree in business commerce, economics, finance or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Lending experience, including knowledge on commercial lending policies and products would be preferred
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with external clients and internal teammates
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical capability and financial acumen with proven ability to develop financial analysis in Excel of mid to large scale organizations
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills in working with senior management and specialists with proven ability to build strong internal relationships, and collaborate to achieve results.
  • Excellent priority management with capability to manage multiple projects, initiatives and daily activity to best meet the needs of the client
  • Advanced problem solving skills and ability to take initiative to find and execute innovative solutions
  • Ability to present complex issues effectively at all levels in the organization and effectively influence others.
