Job summary

Scotiabank in Calgary seeks a Portfolio Administrator to support Relationship Managers in managing books of business and delivering client service excellence.

You will handle account opening docs, onboarding, and ongoing maintenance in line with regulations, while maintaining client files and information. The role emphasizes teamwork, process improvement, and coverage across the portfolio team to ensure timely, accurate service.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance is an asset.
• CSC, investment management knowledge is an asset.
• Working knowledge of products and services offered by Scotiabank partners is an asset.
• Proficient in organizational support.
• Strong interpersonal, communication & listening skills.
• Results/goal oriented.
• Self-motivated and disciplined.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide client service excellence through direct contact and guidance from Relationship Managers.
• Prepare routine client correspondence, ad-hoc client reporting, and meeting packages.
• Maintain accurate client information and files in electronic and paper format.
• Assist with onboarding and end-to-end client onboarding processes.
• Adhere to governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal business partners as required.
• Support coverage for other Portfolio Administrators or Relationship Managers as needed.
