Volkswagen of Newmarket is looking for a part-time Porter. You will be responsible for the daily inspection and maintenance of the vehicle display, appearance and general organization of all new and/or pre-owned vehicles at the dealership. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to enter the automotive industry. What You’ll Do:
  • Greet customers ensuring optimum customer service.
  • Ensure showroom cars are cleaned daily and assist with coordinating showroom
  • Ensure delivery vehicles are quality control inspected and acceptable.
  • Deliver and/or pick up documents from License Bureau as required.
  • Check in new vehicles when they arrive by transport and notes any damages on Bill of Lading.
  • Report all defects and/or damages to Sales Manager immediately.
  • Ensure adequate customer parking spaces are available on the lot.
  • Responsible to maintain the general housekeeping of the lot, showroom and showroom washrooms on a continuous basis to company standards.
  • Report to Sales Manager and complete other tasks for sales department
What You’ll Bring:
  • 1+ years of experience in automotive field is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission is required.
  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
