Qualifications

• Requires above-average teamwork and strong learning of diving physics.
• Must be highly dependable, self-motivated and emotionally stable.
• Port Inspection Divers need good fitness and coordination; pass a pressure tolerance test.

Responsibilities

• Underwater searches and harbour/sea bottom surveys.
• Inspections of jetties and ships' hulls.
• Identify surface and underwater explosive devices.
• Perform underwater search and recovery operations.
• Perform underwater photography.
• Recognize diving or pressure-related illnesses.
• Provide assistance to civil authorities when required during domestic operations.
