Zusammenfassung

SYSTRA Canada, part of the SYSTRA group, is seeking a Cost Controller/Financial Analyst to join its PMO team in Montreal. The role focuses on cost monitoring, reporting, budget tracking, and risk management for major infrastructure projects, including the ALTO initiative.

You will collaborate with project and finance teams, ensure compliance with policies, and produce dashboards and cost analyses in English and French. A 3+ year background in infrastructure or railway projects is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or engineering; professional certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years in cost control, financial analysis, or project accounting, preferably in infrastructure or railway projects.
• Proficient in EVM and project financial reporting; strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent bilingual communication in French and English; ability to collaborate with diverse clients.

The ALTO project is a major infrastructure initiative in Canadian history, aimed at developing over 1,000 km of new passenger rail service between major urban centers, including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City.

Missions/Main Duties

Cost Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor and report project costs, forecasts, and variances.
• Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and performance updates.
• Support forecasting, earned value, and cash flow analysis.
• Maintain cost control tools and data accuracy.

Budget Management

• Support budget preparation, review, and tracking.
• Assess cost impacts of project changes and delays.

Risk & Opportunity Management

• Analyze financial risks, changes, and cost-saving opportunities.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with policies, contracts, and regulations.
• Support audits with cost documentation and explanations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Coordinate with project and finance teams on cost validation and reconciliation.
• Report cost performance to management and stakeholders.

Profile/Skills

Education :

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or engineering. Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA, PMP, or PRINCE2) is an asset.

Years of experience :

Minimum of 3 years in cost control, financial analysis, or project accounting, preferably in infrastructure, construction, or railway projects.

Technical Competencies

• Experience working in a PMO environment or on large-scale capital projects.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and project financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
