Job summary

Paul Bros Nextreme Inc. in Yellowknife, NT is seeking a self-motivated Plumber with good interpersonal skills. The position is permanent full-time and requires the candidate to start as soon as possible.

The duties include reading blueprints, installing and maintaining plumbing systems in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings, and training apprentices. Fluency in English and a secondary school diploma are required, with 3–5 years of experience and leadership ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing layouts.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems in various settings.
• Train apprentices as needed.
• Locate and mark pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls/floors.
• Cut openings for pipes in walls/floors.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, cement, soldering, brazing or welding equipment.
• Test pipes for leaks with air and water pressure gauges.
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes/sizes.
