Job description

Our Maintenance Department at Kootenay Boundary Hospital is currently seeking a permanent full-time Plumber to join our dedicated team. This position operates Monday to Friday from 07 : 00 to 15 : 00 and requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license. On-call may be required.

Your Role :

As a Plumber, you will perform skilled journeyman-level plumbing work focused on the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of plumbing systems and equipment in accordance with relevant codes and regulations. You will review work requests, consult with user departments to clarify project needs, interpret blueprints and specifications, and estimate materials and labour for cost-effective planning. Your responsibilities will also include preparing for projects by conducting safety risk assessments, organizing work schedules, and assembling the necessary tools and supplies to ensure efficient and high-quality execution. This is a key role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our facilities.
