Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a senior data engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines in the cloud. The role emphasizes hands-on work with AWS services (EMR, Redshift, S3, EC2, RDS) and data warehouse platforms such as Teradata and Netezza.

You will implement ETL/ELT processes, monitor workflows, and ensure secure, scalable data integration. Ideal candidates have extensive experience with Apache Airflow or MWAA, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and infrastructure automation tools like

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Big Data / Platform.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, including EMR, EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, and Amazon Redshift.
• Experience with AWS Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation for data integration, security, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong experience with Apache Airflow or AWS Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA).
• Hands-on experience with Netezza.
• Strong knowledge of SQL-based database systems, including SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with enterprise data warehouse platforms, including Teradata, Amazon Redshift, and Netezza.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration processes, including data extraction, transformation, loading, migration, and pipeline development.
• Ability to develop, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-based data pipelines and ETL workflows.
