A major industrial gas supplier in Ontario is seeking a Plant Technician to manage the N2O production process. Responsibilities include operating plant equipment, performing maintenance, conducting quality control tests, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant skills in analytical testing and preventive maintenance. The role involves both production and office tasks, with opportunities for career growth within a supportive workplace.
Location: Maitland, ON (N2O) (I) - N2O primary production
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Summary: Operates N2O plant including start up and shut down; performs lab tests and some maintenance work. As Quality Control Unit Designee ensures that GMP requirements are adhered to for manufactured and distributed medical gas products.
Are you a MATCH?
50% in production area (i.e. warm in summer, cool in winter). Hazards required the use of personal protective equipment (i.e. hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes FR clothing). Nitrous Oxide is extremely cold, and therefore requires that gloves be worn when directly handling equipment. 50% office work to provide data entry. On-call and shift work required. Education: High School or equivalent, preferred.
