Job summary

Enbridge currently seeks a Regular-Full time Plant Mechanic to support Dawn-Parkway operations in Ontario. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing industrial gas turbines, compressors, valves, and related equipment to ensure reliable energy delivery.

A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and problem solving is required. The position requires a Grade 12 education, a valid G-class license, and a Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Millwright and/or Mechanic.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education or proven equivalent.
• Must be willing to work days or shifts as needed.
• Aptitude in Mechanical, Mathematical and Technical applications.
• Minimum of a Class ‘G’ driver’s license with suitable driving record.
• Must progress through all grades after exams.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, energetic team.
• May be required to perform respirator fit testing.
• May be required to enter a confined space.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial natural gas turbines, power turbines and large centrifugal and axial compressor sets, up to 44,000 horsepower each.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on hydraulic operated valves up to 48” diameter.
• Use a CMMS for day-to-day work assignments.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair ancillary equipment at compressor plants (air compressors, generators, fire suppression, boilers).
• Participate in daily safety tailgate talks and team meetings.
• Perform construction oversight as required.
• Demonstrate innovative and critical thinking to troubleshoot failures and return equipment to operation.
