Job summary

Pollard Banknote Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Barrhead Plant. The role supports production by ensuring proper operation of machinery, completing preventative work orders, and addressing breakdowns with urgency.

You will read schematics and job orders, document repairs, and contribute to safe, efficient plant operations while complying with all procedures. Benefits include a strong pension and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Scissor lift and Fall Protection certifications are assets but willing to train in is mandatory.
• Experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance within a manufacturing environment; CMMS is an asset.
• Working knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Access Databases; basic PLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper performance and operation of machinery and mechanical equipment for production.
• Minimize downtime by completing preventive maintenance inspections, planned work orders, and responding to breakdowns and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret job order specifications, schematics/blueprints, and maintenance procedures to perform tasks.
• Document repairs and maintenance, collect and analyze information, and update work orders.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Work safely and in compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain tidy work areas and ensure tools and supplies are in order.
• Assist in other projects such as new installs and other duties as assigned.
