Job summary

Nestlé Canada is seeking a Factory Maintenance & Operations Manager in Toronto to lead maintenance activities, ensuring health, safety, product safety and environmental standards are met while optimizing plant performance and quality. The role sits at the core of the factory management team with responsibility for cost, energy use and project execution.

You will spearhead capital projects, develop long-term maintenance strategies and provide coaching to the maintenance staff, ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, chemical or process engineering.
• 5–7 years in a technical field with maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods.
• Strong technical and managerial skills with project engineering/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to the Management Team during site policy, goals and objectives.
• Develop, implement and coordinate the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Manage plant energy costs and efficiencies; research and implement energy-saving projects.
• Oversee the Capital project process from requests to design and implementation.
• Develop short and long-range Engineering and Maintenance goals for site expansion and improvements.
• Coordinate maintenance personnel and ensure adherence to divisional standards.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and discipline to maintenance staff.
