What You’ll Get To Do
  • Provide leadership in development and implementation of plant safety initiatives
  • Oversee the optimization of production equipment, including kiln, grinding mills, and related processes and inputs including raw materials and fuels
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts in cooperation with the Production Manager
  • Coordinate refractory related activities, including selection, ordering, removal, installation, and maintenance of refractory history
  • Supervise and oversee development of EIT and Co-op Engineering personnel as assigned
Who we are looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Mechanical engineering discipline strongly preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset
  • Proven communication and relationship management skills
  • Problem solving skills and multi-discipline thinking
  • Excellent working knowledge with a variety of software
  • Safety and maintenance exposure is an asset
Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
