Job Description

The Mechanical and Piping Engineering Department is looking for a new graduate from an Engineering Technologist Diploma program to join the team as a Piping Designer! Main responsibilities include:

  • Drafting Process Flow Diagram and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram
  • Performing drafting of drawings, including process and instrumentation diagrams, material take off and stress sketches and isometrics, as well as arrangements drawings and other documentation
  • Fluor's task force project execution concept provides designers with a full range of assignments comprising preliminary feasibility studies through to the completion of detailed engineering drawings
Basic Job Requirements
  • Graduating with a Diploma from Mechanical Engineering Technology or Equivalent in 2025/2026.
  • Qualified candidates must possess strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Required to have good working knowledge of 2D CAD drafting and are required to work in a computer based 3D Design environment. Previous experience using CAD, AutoCAD, Microstation 2D and Intergraph 3D is a definite asset, but in-house training is available

Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $47,500.00 - $87,500.00

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
