What You Will Do:

As a Pipeline Maintenance Supervisor, your primary duties will include:

  • Leadership & Oversight: Provide strategic direction, organization, and supervision for PLM crews, ensuring technical excellence in emergency repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Customer Service: Deliver reliable, efficient services that meet customer expectations while maintaining environmental stewardship.
  • Team Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to PLM staff to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high performance standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Maintain readiness through regular training, equipment upkeep, and coordination with emergency services along the ROW.
  • Administrative: Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks, including expense reports, timesheets, odometer readings, Maximo entries, and job documentation.
Who You Are:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A related university degree or equivalent experience and seven-plus years’ experience OR nine-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR an equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and collaborators.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, adapt, and be flexible to fast-changing demands, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Maximo, and Workday.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, integrity, and a high degree of confidentiality.
  • A team-player mentality, willing to continually and proactively collaborate, share, and seek information in a team-oriented environment.
  • Intuitive judgment abilities and sound decision-making skills.
  • A Trade Certificate / Technical Diploma related to the industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of welding, hoisting, and equipment is preferred.
  • Emergency Response training and knowledge are preferred.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role is viewed as a plus.
  • Broad understanding of effective maintenance methods (preventative, reparative, predictive, condition-based, etc.) is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
  • This role involves a mix of office and field work, with frequent travel along the section of Right of Way and stations.
  • Hours of work may fluctuate depending on workload, emergency situations, capital projects, and line schedules.
  • Extended hours may include weekends, nights, and inclement weather.
  • Emergency response on-call duties to respond to emergency conditions (line leaks, equipment breakdowns).
