About the role

DNV is seeking a detail-oriented Pipeline Integrity Engineer/Senior Engineer with consultancy and computational modeling experience to work in our Integrity Solutions and Compliance department. The Integrity Solutions and Compliance Department is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and services to the pipeline industry. We work together with pipeline operators to manage and maintain their assets, providing technical expertise to navigate the evolving landscape of the energy transition. ***This role is based at our DNV office in Calgary Alberta, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role‑specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.***

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate professionally with a team of Engineers, Consultants, ILI Analysts, and clients.
  • Conduct data analysis from pipeline operators employing suitable methodologies.
  • Manage projects and assign tasks to other project team members.
  • Document findings and deliver clear technical results.
  • Write technical papers and present projects if desired.
  • Attend industry conferences to learn about new technologies and develop projects.
  • Participate in business development with existing projects and customers to build and maintain relationships.
  • Respond to requests for proposals by developing a scope of work, schedule, budget, etc.

  • B.S. Degree or higher in Engineering.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Registered as a P.Eng with APEGA or similar association.
  • Ability to understand and address client needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

What is Preferred
  • B.S. degree or higher in Material Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or boundary element analysis (BEA).
  • Experience working with clients/customers.
  • Programming/process automation experience.
  • 2D/3D CAD experience (AutoCAD, Solidworks).
