Qualifications

• Must hold an Alberta journeyman certificate recognized by AIT.
• CSTS-09 and/or CSTS-20 certifications are required.
• Experience in B-Pressure welding.
• Experience in tacking and fabrication shop is an asset.
• Shop hydro experience is a plus.
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Must be organized and self-motivated.
• Bench fab shop experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules and OH&S standards.
• Lead a cohesive team.
• Fit pipe using shop control drawings (acorn).
• Tack weld fitting components.
• Prep/grind factory beveled pipe ends.
• Utilize elbow jigs and external clamps.
• Attend required safety and toolbox meetings.

Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

The Pipefitter is involved in the Fabrication of Pipe spools from 4"-30".

Anticipated Start: As soon as possible.

Location: Edmonton, AB Fabrication Shop

Shift: Night Shift, 4:30pm-2am, Mon-Thurs, OT available on Fridays and Saturdays

Night Shift Premium: $3.00/hr

Foreman Premium: $5.00/hr

Dual Ticket Premium: $1.00/hr

Base Rate: $45.30 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, and education and training)

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Lead a cohesive team
• Fit pipe using shop control drawings (acorn)
• Tack weld fitting components
• Prepping/grinding factory beveled pipe ends
• Utilize elbow jigs and external clamps whenever possible
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned such as operating skid steer

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be an Alberta ticketed journeyman (or hold a journeyman certificate recognized by AIT)
• CSTS-09 and/or CSTS-20
• B-Pressure welding experience
• Tacking & Fabrication Shop experience is considered an asset
• Shop hydro experience is considered an asset
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and climb in/under units in the field
• Organized and self-motivated
• Bench fab shop experience is essential
