Job summary

PAL Aerospace is seeking Training Managers to join the AMSD team in Campbell River, BC, Halifax, NS or St. John’s, NL. You will deliver and evaluate pilot training programs to ensure CARs compliance and safe flight operations.

Responsibilities include ground school, simulator and line training, evaluating pilots, developing courseware, and maintaining training records. A leadership background and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have DHC-8 and/or KingAir experience.
• Valid ATPL.
• 3500 hours total time.
• 500 multi-engine hours.
• 1000 PIC hours.
• Instrument Rating.
• Multi-engine Rating.
• Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience would be an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Aerospace operations.
• Experience in document management and developing new procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ground school, simulator, and line training for flight crews.
• Evaluate pilot competency through formal evaluations and line checks.
• Identify training deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide structured feedback and coaching to trainees.
• Promote adherence to SOPs and operational best practices.
• Support standardization initiatives across fleets and bases.
• Participate in training meetings and calibration sessions.
• Assist in development and revision of training programs, manuals, and courseware.
• Provide input on training improvements based on operational experience.
• Support implementation of new procedures, aircraft, or regulatory requirements.
• Ensure training complies with CARs, manuals, and approved syllabi.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
