Job summary

Rockstar Music Central in Fredericton, NB is hiring a Piano teacher to provide private, in-home or online lessons. You will teach technique and repertoire while making lessons engaging and fun, helping students build confidence and musicianship.

Travel within the Fredericton area is expected and scheduling is flexible to accommodate families. Candidates should be reliable, patient, and comfortable working with children.

Qualifications

• A vehicle is required to travel to lessons.
• Reliable, patient, open-minded and enjoy working with children.
• Able to teach technique and repertoire in a fun, engaging manner.
• Post-secondary education and RCM education is considered an asset.
• ECEs & Ontario Certified Teachers are encouraged with rate premiums.

Responsibilities

• Encourage the joy of making music.
• Help students develop the discipline and commitment required for success.
• Make learning just as fun as making music itself.
• Building a strong relationship with the students to better help them succeed.
• Give brief feedback to parents at the end of every lesson.
