Department: Rehabilitation Services

Location: Kingston (Reddendale / Cataraqui / Collins Bay)

Under the general direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation services, the Staff Physiotherapist provides comprehensive assessments of referred patients and develops client-centred physiotherapy treatment programs. The Physiotherapist has a commitment to maintain the standards of practice of the College of Physiotherapists to ensure that patients receive the highest quality, ethical and safe Physiotherapy care.

The Physiotherapist has an obligation to practice within the individual physiotherapist’s sphere of competence and scope of practice. The Physiotherapist participates in discipline-specific and interdisciplinary activities that are directed towards a patient-centred environment. The ability to carry a varied caseload is required as the physiotherapist provides services to rehabilitation, complex continuing care and acute care patients.

Education and Experience:

  • Masters or Baccalaureate degree from a recognized school of Physiotherapy
  • Current Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Basic BCLS Certification and maintained throughout employment
  • One year experience in a hospital setting preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to plan, implement, organize, problem solve and work on several projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, reliable and patient focused team player
  • Good attendance and availability required
