EHN Canada is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join as an independent contractor in Toronto. You will assess patients, design personalized treatment plans, and apply evidence-based modalities to improve mobility and overall wellness. Collaboration with physicians and therapists is essential to provide comprehensive care.

You will educate patients and families, document progress, and stay current with professional standards and regulations in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration and licensure with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association or relevant provincial regulatory body.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as electrotherapy or hydrotherapy.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize recovery and functional improvement.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and strategies to maintain physical health.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

About the Role:

As a Physiotherapist in the Health Care Services industry in Canada, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their physical mobility and overall quality of life. You will assess patients' physical conditions, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques. Your work will involve collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and to facilitate effective rehabilitation. You will also educate patients and their families on injury prevention, health maintenance, and exercises to support recovery. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to enhancing patient outcomes and promoting long-term wellness within the community.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.

  • Current registration and licensure with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association or relevant provincial regulatory body.

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in physiotherapy practice, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.

  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic modalities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, or sports injuries.

  • Certification in specialized physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy, neurological rehabilitation, or cardiopulmonary physiotherapy.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital documentation tools.

  • Additional training or certification in pain management or occupational health.
