POSTING -

PHYSIOTHERAPIST (TEMPORARY PART TIME)

A Temporary Part Time Physiotherapist position is available at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.

This position is a non-unionized position.

You will:
  • Perform physical and functional assessment of patients with disabilities, analyze findings, establish treatment objectives / treatment plan
  • Treat patients by means of modality, exercise, manual skill, education; modify objectives and treatment plan as indicated by progress
  • Educate patients and families, including instruction on the proper use of assistive and adaptive device
  • Consult and collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members on patient's status and treatment
  • Organize and manage daily caseload with Physiotherapy Assistant
  • Review / document patient's status and progress on patient chart
  • Record workload measurement for patient care
  • Management of department inventory and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduated from an accredited Physiotherapy Program
  • A license by the Ontario College of Physiotherapists
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Clinically-Manual Therapy Courses preferred
  • Current BCLA CPR Certification
  • Sincere interest in quality patient care
  • Top physical condition to endure heavy, demanding conditions, including constant standing, moving, lifting, bending, etc. (must meet all requirements of an occupational demands analysis)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well as an effective team member, as well as function comfortably independently
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills which are an absolute necessity
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
